Meet Kristyn
I have been in love with photography since I was little. I always imagined I would grow up to be a nature photographer for National Geographic, showcasing my love of animals and wildlife all over the world — haha!
At 16, I saved up and bought my first “big girl” Canon camera, and from that moment on, I was hooked. My passion only continued to grow. In college, I had the incredible opportunity to experience the true beauty of black-and-white film photography and even develop my own images in a darkroom. There is something so magical about watching an image come to life right before your eyes.
Photography has never just been a hobby for me — it’s been a lifelong love story.
What began as a creative outlet slowly turned into something so much bigger. I photographed everything — weddings, lifestyle sessions, creative headshots — soaking up every learning opportunity along the way.
Over time, my heart naturally shifted toward children and milestone sessions. There is something incredibly special about capturing those fleeting early years. That’s when I knew I had found my true calling.
How I Got Started
My Approach to Working with Families
My approach is simple: I treat families the way I would want my own family treated — with kindness, respect, patience, and a whole lot of encouragement.
Yes momma, we’re going to “work it” — because honey, we still got it!
I want you to walk into your session feeling relaxed and confident, knowing I can handle your little one just fine. Kids are beautifully unpredictable, and patience is always my number one priority. My goal is for you to leave not just with beautiful images, but with memories you truly enjoyed creating.
A Little More About Me
I have an almost five-year-old son, Walker Von, who is my absolute pride and joy. He is a huge reason I shifted my niche to children and smash cake sessions — because there is nothing more pure than the smile of a child.
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband and biggest supporter, Stephen, for seven years. He has always encouraged me to chase my dreams and believe in myself.
And I truly have the most supportive parents anyone could ask for — they even allowed me to convert their two-car garage into a fully renovated private studio for my business. It has been such a blessing to have that kind of love and support behind me.
